Wire mesh conveyor belt
Balanced Weave Conveyor Belt

Balanced weave belts are the workhorse of wire mesh belting. Alternating left- and right-hand spirals keep the belt tracking straight, while the pitch and mesh size can be tailored to almost any product – from fine items to heavy loads.
- Carbon steel or stainless
- 200–5000 mm wide
- Crimped or straight rods
- Friction or sprocket drive
- Welded or clenched edges
Pitch and mesh size are customised to your operating conditions.

How a balanced weave belt is built
Balanced weave belts are made from alternating left- and right-hand spirals, joined with pre-crimped or straight rods, in round or flat wire.
Crimped rod construction locks the spirals in place to keep alignment and prevent distortion. Straight rod construction gives a fine, evenly spaced mesh with minimal openings.
They're usually friction driven over a large drive roller, or fitted with custom sprockets for more precise, positive drive.
Why choose a balanced weave belt
- Alternating left and right spirals for stable, straight tracking.
- Suitable for a very wide range of applications.
- Low maintenance – easy to install, clean and service.
- High open area for excellent airflow and drainage.
- Strong, smooth surface that handles heavy loads and high tension.
Where balanced weave belts are used
Found across food processing, freezing, cooling and industrial lines such as solar panel production.

Balanced Weave Belt FAQs
What's the difference between crimped and straight rod construction?
Crimped rods lock the spirals in place, keeping alignment and preventing distortion. Straight rods create a finer, evenly spaced mesh with minimal openings.
How is a balanced weave belt driven?
Usually by friction over a large drive roller. For more precise control, custom sprockets give positive drive.
Which materials are available?
Carbon steel, SUS201, SUS304 and SUS316, in round or flat wire.
Can it carry heavy loads?
Yes. Balanced weave belts handle high tension and heavy loads reliably.
What do you need from me for a quote?
The belt width and length, what it will carry, the operating temperature and, if possible, drawings, photos or details of your current belt. Use the quote form on this page or send us a WhatsApp.
